The Saudi International Building Materials and Interiors Expo is hosted by Saudi Arabia’s most powerful professional exhibition agency, the Al Harithy Company for Exhibitions. 沙特國際建材及室內裝飾博覽會是由沙特最具實力的專業展覽機構哈里喜展覽有限公司（Al Harithy Company for Exhibitions）主辦。展會已有26年的歷史，上屆展會吸引了來自海灣地區以家和地區的600多名參展商；專業採購商來自沙特、約旦、伊拉克、黎巴嫩、蘇丹、阿聯酋、敘利亞、也門、巴勒斯坦和埃及等20個國家和地區的近22500人，展會成交額高達1.98億美元。沙特阿拉伯是目前中東地區最大的經濟體，國土面積225萬平方公里，人口總數3077萬。吉達位於沙特阿拉伯王國西部，紅海之瀕，是沙特的商業和旅遊度假中心，聚集了全國各大商業機構和貿易公司，面積約560平方公里，人口約300萬，是沙特第二大城市和經濟、金融、貿易、運輸中心。沙特實行自由市場經濟政策，目前經濟正以空前的速度發展，融資需求成倍增長。由於當地的工業薄弱，95%產品全依賴進口，儘管沙特境內從事建築材料及室內裝飾材料的廠家不斷增加，但較之國內的需求還遠遠不夠。大量的建築材料和室內裝飾材料都依賴進口，建築機械更是完全依賴進口。沙特已連續9年成為中國在西亞地區最大的貿易夥伴，同時中國也是沙特第一大出口對像國和第二大進口來源國。
