Robert Ripley founded the Orlando-based Ripley Entertainment, Inc. Now the company operate more than 80 attractions worldwide with annual attendance of 12 million visitors. Ripley Entertainment has divisions in publishing and broadcasting that include the newspaper cartoon panel, books, posters, games, and the syndicated TV series. Champs and Chumps (a cartoon featuring sports) was originally developed by Ripley and was premiered on December 19, 1918 in the New York Globe. In October 1919, the title was later changed to Believe It or Not and from there Ripley started adding items not related to sports.
